Westwood Park
Westwood Park is open year round to the public for a variety of recreational activities. Fishing is excellent for bass, sunfish, crappie and channel catfish. A small modern campground is located near the lake and is open from May through October. Picnicking, hiking, mountain biking, a horse trail, shelter house and play field are some of the day use activities to be found. Some facilities are handicapped accessible.
While in the park, one may have the opportunity to see many types of wildlife that are present in the various habitats. Hiking trails, the horse trail and mountain bike trail offer wonderful scenery of deciduous woodlands, abandoned grasslands and rolling hills. Numerous species of trees native to Indiana may be found in the park.

News & Events
The Westwood Park campground will close for the winter season on Monday, October 30,2023.
The hiking/biking trail is currently impassable in many areas due to the numerous storms and the high number of dead ash trees. It is not closed, but if you wish to ride it, there will be multiple dismounts in many sections of the trail due to: downed trees, head bangers and invasive plant growth.
Mother Nature has not been good to the trail, but we are not giving up! We are currently short staffed but continue to work on at least one part of the trail everyday. It is very labor intensive.
Thank you for understanding and for your patience. We will try to keep you updated.
